“ Absolutely brilliant little place on the cycle path between Instow and Barnstaple. We are staying in Fremington for the week and have walked down early morning with our dog. We devided to walk down so I could have a cream tea . Food was excellent 2 scones, cream and jam. Wife had a Raspberry slice and the boys had Rocky road. All generous portions . We sat outside looking out to the estuary, which is a fantastic view. Reasonably busy as weather was nice. Definitely worth a visit and we will be back to sample some more of the delicious looking cakes . Staff very helpful, friendly and polite. Plenty of seating outside to bring your 4 legged friends ”

“ Very busy place. Lovely for family's. Food is good, salads, sandwiches and wraps and baked potatoes. Nice selection of cakes and ice cream. Alot of drinks but no alcohol is served here. The views of the estuary is stunning, so happy to be back after 35 years as I grew up here. Well worth a visit. ”

“ Found this by google maps when looking to meet with family who were holidaying in the area. Beautiful setting and dog friendly outside which was a bonus but with its view you wouldn’t want to sit inside, was end of October when we went so coats were needed but the setting was too nice to sit inside Food was amazing had the chilli jacket potato and was large enough it filled me all day. Lovely pot of tea each and great choices on the menu for everyone. Cheese scone and soup was lovely too, big flavorous. Would highly recommend this wonderful gem, plus the Heritage was great and very informational 1 st class place ”

“ A beautiful location overlooking the estuary and the perfect spot for a top-notch cream tea (plus it has a full menu). Two scones are included in the usual cream tea price (I just went for a single) and they are the fluffiest, lightest scones too Friendly and happy staff make this a delightful cafe right on the fabulous Tarka Trail, so it’s a great stop-off for hikers and bikers ”
